What is your role in your play?

Always the last to realize the simple fact that “It is how you sell yourself”, how you make people believe, believe in you and what you do, believe in your thoughts and your dreams, people to believe they need to understand and agree or may be just get fooled by a flashing idea or a new thought, one long trusty way and another short temporary way, usually you find three kind of workers, one group talking a lot about how they work and how they perform miracles each day not only in the work field, another one is just letting the tension out by some short stories and jokes about their work environment and some just give you the silence about what they do, as if they are doomed and don’t want to talk about their curse, sometimes I feel it and can’t describe it, as if you don’t understand what is happening to you, these groups share one thing, they are the working type cause I have a dozen of non working groups even in my own work environment.

In the end it is how your goods are evaluated, how you are evaluated from the community of people and firms around you, how you spoke for and about yourself, how you earn their trust, how they see your image and what they believe from your stories, kind of a selling plan dealing with yourself as a commodity in a demand and supply market, after that it is just how you sell yourself, to whom, when and where.

Today I was dealing with someone in my daily job, a kind of brilliant technician, he has his thoughts and ideas in any product fabricated by man, a devil who can add a thought to any existing technology, even computers, use to learn from every spoken word around him, a clever worker and also a good seller of his product, he always talks about his cleverness and effectiveness in work in an embarrassed tone, knows exactly when to talk and when to listen, never enters an argument unless he is certain of his information, for me he is the perfect guy to work with although his knowledge is only his experience in repairing and maintaining machines and networks, he never learnt a word from a book in his life, and yet he is the chief technician.
I discovered that working hard isn’t the idea, or not the desired mood, it is also how you “kiss ass” spreading good thoughts about yourself, and the better you can “kiss asses” the more recognized you will be, from different experiences in different work fields,
It is the only way to get to the top, not being professional or hard worker and may be resourceful in your field but being useful in personnel life and in the work field the long you spare yourself from favours and demands in personal life the far you will be from any raise or bonus or upgrade and in the end may be you will be secretly played to get replaced by another useful guy.
People in the work fields are divided into groups from the work process point of view, there are always the group of people who are baring the whole weight of the work process, these people usually and for no reason are treated unfairly, and brutally menaced by words and some times by actions from their supervisors to make more effort and to stay in stress all the time, and usually their work is recognized when they report sick, or get absent by chance, here their real size in the work process appear to people, despite the unfairness treatment they receive from their direct superiors, as if it is a great plan to kill the goodness in bed, before it grows and kill us all.
There are another group of people who are only good followers and initiate creativity only when pushed to extents, this group of people are needed to cooperate and manage communication between workers or departments groups and divisions and although they provide a reasonable share in the work process but they are disasters in managerial posts, when it comes to future plan and long term responsibilities.
You can also find another group the lazy noisy people, who don’t give a shit, the ones who always have an excuse not to work, or to delay work for another day, the ones who are always complaining how they are not getting what they deserve, making a great deal of any little action or step they accomplish in the work process, they are the worse kind they usually work less than others, and they spend most of their time in selling themselves which unfortunately works sometimes.
So for me, this work process is like a big theatre with a big acting cast, there are few good actors with great roles and they are well paid, but you can also find clearly the bad overstated actors with unreasonable high contracts, also the very good actors with less luck, who are trapped in small roles instead of leading ones, accepting small wages to survive life and finally you will find the bad actors who are pushing themselves in this act by favours sometime or by connections another time to get a part they don’t deserve.
The irony is that the success of the play here isn’t related to an individual act but to a mastermind who gathers all these differences and contradictions into one homogenous successful play, appreciated by people every where, despite the suffering, betrayal or unfairness the cast of this play has experienced.
